Uploading cases to FinView is a seamless process designed to make your debt collection efforts more efficient. Our intuitive import feature allows users to upload multiple cases quickly and accurately using an Excel file. Whether you're accessing this feature via the FinView menu bar or through a specific customer and portfolio, the process is straightforward and user-friendly. Let's dive into how you can use this powerful feature.

  • Select a File - Begin by selecting the customer and portfolio where the new cases will reside. You can specify the country code for phone numbers and indicate whether these are consumer or business cases. The upload process is simple, with a drag-and-drop feature for your Excel file, streamlining your data input process.
  • Map Your Data - FinView recognises the columns in your Excel file and automatically maps them to the necessary fields in the system. However, for personalised data handling, our easy-to-use mapping tool allows you to manually adjust how each input column aligns with FinView's fields, giving you complete control over your data.
  • Review Import - After initiating the import, FinView performs a thorough review of your data. It categorises records into three sections: ready for upload, needing cleansing, or faulty. You can make amendments directly in the system, ensuring all records meet the necessary standards for successful import.
  • Matching - One of FinView's key features is its ability to identify if new debtors match existing records in the system. This process involves:some text
    • Automatically creating a new debtor record if there's no match.
    • Matching the new data to an existing debtor if there's an 80% data match.
    • Providing a manual review option for potential matches, where you decide whether to create a new debtor record or update an existing one.
  • Link to a Bucket - Once the records are created or updated, they must be linked to a specific bucket. This step is crucial, as it applies the financial components of the selected bucket to each case, ensuring consistency in your debt collection strategy.
  • Launch Workflows - The final step involves launching the workflows for these cases. Activating the main workflow is simple and initiates the debt collection process for newly uploaded cases.

FinView’s case upload feature is designed to optimise your debt collection workflow, making data management more efficient and accurate. By following these simple steps, you can ensure your data is effectively integrated into FinView, ready for successful debt recovery actions.
