FinView accommodates three different customer user rights that can be assigned to a customer account.

  1. Commercial Contact: This is the primary contact responsible for the commercial agreement with you. They can access the platform and are the primary recipient of your invoices.
  2. Operational Contact: Typically, this user will receive automated communications from case files or workflows.
  3. Employees: There may be times when other employees of your customer need to be added to the account. These users can have platform access and are often linked to a portfolio (or multiple portfolios). They can receive communications via the inbox located in the case file.

Note that a single contact can serve as both the operational and commercial contact.

Here's how to add a new contact:

  1. Navigate to the 'Contact' tab. If you're setting up your customer for the first time, you'll be automatically redirected to this tab after completing the company information.
  2. Click on 'Add employee' in the right-hand corner.
  3. Choose 'Create new employee'.
  4. Fill in the contact's primary information – first name, last name, email address, and phone number. Remember to select the correct country for the country code.
  5. Define the user rights of the contact. If the user is an employee, select 'no' for commercial and operational.
  6. Decide if the user should have access to FinView.
  7. Click 'save'.

Upon creation, the contact will receive an email from FinView inviting them to access their account. For further assistance, refer to our articles related to managing your FinView account here.

If you want to link a customer user that already has access to FinView, follow these steps:

  1. Navigate to the 'Contact' tab. If you're setting up your customer for the first time, you'll be automatically redirected to this tab after completing the company information.
  2. Click on 'Add employee' in the right-hand corner.
  3. Choose 'Select existing employee'.
  4. Either select the user from the drop-down list or start typing the name.
  5. If the user is a commercial or operational contact, toggle to 'yes'. If not, leave it on 'no'.
  6. Click 'select'.

Effectively managing user rights allows for seamless communication and smooth operational processes on the FinView platform.
